Amanda Kaiz, COTA

Amanda has always had a passion for working with kids of all ages and diagnoses. She has been a pediatric therapist for the past 10 years. Amanda earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Western Illinois University with a major in communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Psychology. She was a Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant within the school systems and pediatric outpatient clinics for 5 years before she furthered her education in occupational therapy. She spent the initial part of her career in Arizona before moving back home to Illinois.
Amanda is dedicated to pursue additional training and keeping current on the latest therapy practices and techniques. She has been trained in Learning Without Tears, Zones of Regulation, Social thinking, DIR/ Floortime, Integration Listening System (ILS), and Astronaut Training Program. Her expertise and experience in the area of Sensory Processing Disorder allows her to identify sensory processing and motor weaknesses. She is passionate about improving foundational skills and independence so that children can participate in daily life activities at home, school, and in the community.
When Amanda is not at work- you can find her traveling, eating hibachi, or catching up on the latest celebrity news!
