Brittany LaCursia, M.S., CCC-SLP/L

Brittany is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Illinois State University. During her clinical internship, she worked at Lurie Children’s Hospital treating children with sensory feeding and swallowing disorders.

In Fall of 2014, she started her career working at an Elementary School where she gained invaluable experience working with children in grades K-6. Within the school setting, she treats children with autism who receive their education in a self-contained classroom. In the self-contained classroom setting, Brittany co-treats with classroom teachers, social workers, and occupational therapists. She also has the opportunity to work with children in the general education population who receive services to address speech and language disorders. Some of these speech and language disorders include, but are not limited to: articulation/phonological disorders, language processing, social/pragmatic language, and fluency. During her free time she enjoys traveling to Chicago, reading, and cooking!
