Cheryl Magsino, OT bio
My name is Cheryl Magsino and I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant! I grew up in Illinois and then moved out to Arizona in 2015 to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy. I went on to graduate from Pima Medical Institute in the summer of 2018! I’ve worked within the Pediatric setting since then and I cannot see myself anywhere else! I have a background of working in clinic, home-based, and preschool settings. I’ve also worked with young children and adults from ages 3-27 years old with diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Cerebral Palsy.
I am always eager and determined to pursue additional training, and continue to learn new therapeutic evidence based practices and techniques! I am currently certified in Therapeutic Listening, and am trained in Zones of Regulation and Social Thinking. I am passionate about play-based and family-centered care, that is purposeful, fun, and motivating in order to provide independence and quality of life!
During my free time I enjoy cooking, watching movies and Food Network, exploring new cities, and spending time with my family and friends!
