Alyssa Giacalone, M.S., CCC-SLP

Alyssa was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and a Master’s degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove. Alyssa specializes in the assessment and treatment of infants, toddlers and school-age children with a variety of needs related to communication, language, speech and feeding. She has extensive experience treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder having worked in a Therapeutic Preschool for the past 4 years. Alyssa recently completed her 10 month training to become a DIR®-FCD/FloorTime Provider (Developmental Individual Relationship based). She takes a true relationship based approach to helping children progress along the developmental ladder and create meaning and intention within their world. She has specialized training in PROMPT for motor speech development, and LAMP Words for Life for Speech Generating Devices.
