Elyse Szymanski, SLP bio
Elyse attended Northern Illinois University for her undergraduate degree where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, along with minors in Family and Child Studies, and Psychology. She recently completed her Master’s degree at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Speech-Language Pathology, while also completing her certificate in Assistive Technology and Accessible Design. In addition to working at In2Great!, Elyse works full-time in the Palatine school district in their elementary Autism SIP program. She has experience working with clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Angelman Syndrome, Wolf-hirschhorn syndrome, genetic disorders, learning disorders, and speech sound disorders. Elyse has a passion for working with children of all abilities, in areas including augmentative and alternative communication methods, social skills, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and articulation. In her free time, Elyse enjoys curling up with a good book and her 11-year-old dog, drinking too much coffee, and spending time with friends and family.
