Dallas Castillo, MS/C, OTR/L
Dallas Castillo has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Following his graduate work, Dallas began his career working at a therapeutic day school for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, sensory processing difficulties, physical disabilities and other related disabilities. Dallas has also worked as an occupational therapist at a University hospital in Chicago working with patients with complex psychiatric, psychosocial, and medical needs. Dallas is Level 1 Certified in Pivotal Response Treatments for Autism and took part in the Illinois Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Program, a 1-year intensive training program that prepares scholars who will serve children with neurodevelopmental and related disabilities and their families through coordinated, culturally competent, and family-centered care, in addition to public health services and policy systems change. Dallas is now also a part of the In2great! team. He has a strong interest in family-centered care practices and working with children with a variety of needs to promote participation in all areas of life. Dallas currently lives in Chicago and, in his free time, enjoys playing indoor and beach volleyball, traveling, and spending time with his nieces, Chloe and Norah, and 3 nephews, David, Nicholas, and Anthony.
