Erin Ginsberg, OT

I’ve always had a dream of working with children in some way shape or form from an early age. It’s one of the many things that drew me to pursue a career in the field of OT. I received my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Maryville University in St. Louis thru their 5 year direct admit accelerated program. Throughout my 5 years at Maryville, I gained a variety of experiences of working with individuals of all ages with intellectual disabilities. In my free time while in school I enjoyed volunteering with organizations such as Night to Shine and SPENSA (Special Needs Soccer Association). Additionally, one of my fieldwork placements was at an outpatient pediatric clinic similar to that of In2Great. There I worked with kiddos with a variety of diagnoses most commonly being Sensory Processing Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Each experience I’ve had has not only been rewarding but has somehow contributed to my growth not only as a therapist but also as a person. My goal as an OT is to allow my kiddos to continue to teach me and help me grow every day. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, spending time with my family and friends, cooking, and participating in anything that involves being active outdoors.
