Haidyn Sommers, LPC
Haidyn will soon be our Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and our Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); she is currently in the process of obtaining her license! Haidyn received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. Haidyn graduated from Adler University (Chicago, IL.) with her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Rehabilitation Counseling. Haidyn has had experience working with children and families through her past employment at the Bartlett Nature Center and her two-hundred-hour social justice practicum at the Elgin Community Crisis Center. Haidyn has also completed a seven-hundred-hour clinical internship at Friendship Village (Schaumburg, IL.), where she worked with older adults who experienced various life transitions. Haidyn has had the opportunity to volunteer at different equine therapy facilities where she worked with individuals of all ages and disabilities. Her goal while working with individuals is to build a solid rapport while working from a holistic perspective! In her free time, Haidyn enjoys taking her basset hound mix Oaklie on walks, going on adventures with her boyfriend Corey, and spending time with her family!
