Jazmin Landa, MOT, OTR/L

Jazmin was born and raised in Chicago. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is currently completing her clinical doctorate there. Her doctoral project focus is creating a continuing education webinar on family engagement that will be disseminated through the American Occupational Therapy Association.

During her coursework Jazmin completed the Illinois Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Program (LEND), a 1-year intensive interdisciplinary leadership training program that prepares trainees who will work with children with neurodevelopmental and related disabilities and their families. Some of the key topics covered during this training include but are not limited to: research, clinical practice, policy, family-centered care, and cultural competency.

Jazmin is excited to join the In2Great! team. She is looking forward to using family-engagement as a means to build partnerships with families and use play as the primary occupation to improve children’s participation in their everyday routines.

When Jazmin is not in school or at In2Great, she spends her time volunteering at community-based organizations and mentoring future occupational therapists. Jazmin loves walking and being outdoors, and her day is made when she gets to see/pet dogs! Jazmin also enjoys finding new coffee shops and tasting the coffee of course!
