Emma Williams COTA/L
I discovered my love for OT at a young age after hearing stories from my grandmother who was an OT herself. I began shadowing the profession in high school and discovered that my love for OT grew after shadowing in pediatric settings. I have over 15 years of experience working with young children ages 3 months to 14 years old. Following hundreds of hours working with children and shadowing in the field, my dream of working as a pediatric occupational therapy practitioner was solidified. I received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Children’s Studies from Illinois State University in 2016 and an associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Fox College in 2019. A passion for facilitating the unique development of each individual child is deeply rooted in my core values and I strive to create an environment that is both engaging and instructive! I love to learn and I plan of furthering my education in the OT field in the near future. A few things that everyone should know about me are that my favorite animal is an alpaca, I love super colorful socks, and I have TONS of pets at home!
