Melanie Albaum, M.S., CCC-SLP
Melanie was born and raised in the Chicagoland suburbs. She graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then received her Master’s of Science in Speech, Language, and Learning from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL
In addition to working at In2Great, Melanie works in the public school setting where she treats children in both self-contained and general education classrooms. She has had the opportunity to provide services to children with a wide range of speech/language, academic, cognitive, social/emotional, motor, and functional abilities. During the summer time, she directs a day camp in Skokie (Apachi Skokie) with her friends.
Melanie believes that her scope of practice as a speech-language pathologist exceeds that of assessment and treatment of communication disorders. She is passionate about neurodiversity and using each individual child’s strengths to help them communicate, learn, and succeed.
In her free time, Melanie enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and exercising.
