Michi Gerdts, LCSW
Michi is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders at University of Wisconsin – Madison. She completed her clinical fellowship with JFK Partners in Denver, CO where she received special training in evaluating and treating children with ASD. After the clinical fellowship, Michi worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Boulder Community Health – Pediatric Outpatient Rehab for 4 years. At the clinic, she served on ASD diagnostic team and treated children from ages 2 to 16 with frequent collaboration with OTs, PTs, and a psychologist. Michi has experience working with variety of speech and language disorders including, but not limited to: ASD, articulation/phonological disorders, receptive language disorders, expressive language disorders, social/pragmatic language, and use of AAC. She also is knowledgeable and experienced in working with children and families with different cultural and language backgrounds. In addition to working at In2Great, Michi works at clinical setting on a developmental pediatric team doing evaluations.
Michi was born in Japan and is fluent in Japanese and Spanish. During her free time, Michi enjoys spending time with her daughter and her husband, playing with her cat, playing piano and singing, cooking, and decorating cakes
